Woman arrested for assaulting police

A woman was today arrested for allegedly assaulting policemen at the railway station here, police said.

The woman, who was in an inebriated state, was loitering in the station and attacked police personnel when they tried to help her last night.

The police found an Aadhaar Card bearing name Duniya Khan of Lajpat Nagar, South Delhi, from the young woman's possession. The Odisha Police has been verifying her antecedents by contacting its counterpart in Lajpat Nagar.

Police also recovered some cash, a bottle of liquor and an expensive mobile phone from her possession.
