A 36-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at her residence at Chhalera village here at Noida, police said today.
The incident took place last night when the body of the woman, identified as Nisha Chauhan, was found hanging by her husband Satish, they said.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot.
Police claimed that some domestic dispute could be the reason behind the extreme step.
In another incident, a woman died under mysterious circumstances at Astoli village in Greater Noida, police said.
The woman died last evening after her 'dupatta' had got entangled in a water pump engine while she had pressed the button to water the fields, they said.
However, a case has been registered in this regard and further probes are on, police added.
