Woman dead, husband injured as tipper truck hits bike

A woman was killed and her husband sustained severe injuries in a road accident near Yakanuru village in Avanigadda mandal in Krishna district today.

G Sathyanarayana and his wife G Routhu were heading from Burrankula to Avanigadda when their motorcycle was hit by a tipper truck near Yakanuru this afternoon.

Both were taken to Avanigadda Government Hospital, but Routhu succumbed during the treatment, said sub-inspector D Venkata Kumar.
