Woman employee of pvt bank arrested for stealing money

A woman employee of a private bank here was arrested today for allegedly withdrawing nearly Rs 13,000 from accounts of customers by using their new ATM cards and secret codes over a period of time, police said.

They said the bank filed a complaint after some customers complained that their money had been withdrawn from their accounts.

Police zeroed in on the woman employee after going through CCTV footage at the bank and the ATM and arrested her.

She reportedly confessed that she had withdrawn Rs 12,900 using the cards and secret codes of the ATM card of the customers.
 

The woman has been lodged in the Central prison here.
