Woman, grandchild die in house collapse

An elderly woman and her minor grandson died when a part of their house collapsed after heavy rainfall in Karauli district in Rajasthan.

Sugani Devi (65) and her grandson Arjun (6) were killed in the incident yesterday in Sapotara town.

Her granddaughter Aarti (15) was injured, police said.

The bodies have been handed over to family members after postmortem.

Karauli district received heavy rainfall, which has affected normal life.

Several people have been shifted to safer places by the district administration and the police.
