A 35-year-old woman, mother of two children, was murdered allegedly by her husband in East Delhi's Ghazipur area, police said.
The deceased Kanti Devi (35), lived with her two sons in a rented accommodation. Her husband Kumar had been living away from the family and started staying with the family from June 5.
"Preliminary investigation showed that on Sunday, Kumar killed his wife when his son Tapas and Hrithik (8) were sleeping on the roof of their home," said a police official.
He said that on Monday morning Tapas found his mother lying in a pool of blood under the bed. Kanti was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced brought dead.
He said a case of murder has been registered following Tapas's statement. The couple were having arguments for the last 3 days. The woman suffered head injury inflicted by a blunt object.
