Woman raped and murdered

A 22-year-old housewife was allegedly raped and murdered at Gadeyaragauge village in this district, police said today.

The body of the woman, wife of a labourer, with her both hands tied behind was spotted near a small tea garden in the area this morning, police officials said.

The crime was apparently committed last night, they said.
