Woman raped by gas agency owner in Ballia, UP

A 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a gas agency owner in Kotwali area, police said here today.

The agency operator Sanjay Rai had called the victim on February 20 evening on the pretext of providing an LPG cylinder after which he raped her, SP Manoj Kumar Jha said.

He said an FIR was lodged yesterday after the victim filed a complaint. The matter was being investigated, he said.
