Woman strangulated to death in Sitamarhi

A middle-aged woman was strangulated to death by her nephews at a village in Sitamarhi district of Bihar.

Police said the incident happened last night at Machhi village under Belsand police station in the district, and the woman has been identified as one Seema Devi, wife of Rajendra Singh.

Belsand Station House Officer (SHO) Ajay Kumar said Seema was plucking vegetables from her agricultural field, when some dispute started between her and her two nephews - Nunu Singh and Bindeshwar Singh.

"The two men strangulated her to death. An FIR has been lodged and we are conducting raids to nab the culprits," said the SHO.
