Woman trampled to death by elephant in TN

A 50-year woman farm worker was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Alandurai on the city outskirts early today.

The elephant suddenly appeared from nowhere and attacked Sarada when she came out of her house to answer nature's call, police said.

The woman died on the spot, they said.

On information, forest department officials visited the place coming under the Boluvampatti Forest range, they said.
