'Women in leadership roles critical in success of firms'

More women in leadership positions will play critical role in the success of their organisations, says a report.

"Fiftyfour per cent of HR professionals have responded that more women in leadership roles will be a critical success factor for organisations," human resource service provider Randstad said in its report "Talent Trends Report-HR Game Changers".

The study for the report was undertaken across senior Human Resource personnel in various industries operating in manufacturing, IT and telecommunication, financial services, construction, healthcare, transport and logistic sectors.

Listing out some of the significant findings, Randstad India Managing Director and CEO Moorthy K Uppaluri said "Five themes and 15 trends were identified as game changers in talent trends.
 

"This report is going to be extremely helpful for business leaders and HR professionals particularly in terms of leveraging these trends.", he told PTI here.

Some of the significant elements of the findings, the report said, include 69 per cent of organisations in the country were focused more on employer branding than they were five years ago.

Seventysix per cent of HR professionals said the war for identifying the right talent was getting "fiercer".

About 79 per cent of HR professionals feel that the biggest challenge faced across companies was in keeping pace with rapidly evolving "technology" to enhance "workforce productivity and performance".

On the recruitment strategy undertaken by companies, the study report said about 62 per cent of HR personnel recruit middle and senior level officers from the external marketplace more often than it was practiced five years ago.
