Would love to play Gambit in 'X-Men' movie: Channing Tatum

"White House Down" actor Channing Tatum says he would love to play the character of Gambit in a "X-Men" movie.

Among the many comic book characters, the 33-year-old actor said one he loves most is the Gambit, previously played by Taylor Kitsch in 2009 film "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", reported Ace Showbiz.

"He was punk rock. He kind of rode the line," Tatum said.

The "Magic Mike" star will be voicing Lego Superman in "The Lego Movie" due next year, which will also have Will Arnett (Batman), Jonah Hill (Green Lantern), and Cobie Smulders (Wonder Woman).

Tatum's new projects include "Foxcatcher", "Jupiter Ascending" and "22 Jump Street".
