YMA holds rallies in Mizoram demanding scrapping of CADC

Thousands of people took out rallies here and different areas of Wednesday demanding scraping of the Autonomous District Council (CADC) established in 1972.

The rallies were organised by the (YMA) said.

He claimed that the was created by the Centre in 1972 without consulting the people of and said the Council has become a safe haven for Bangladeshi infiltrators.

While the union government was alert in the event of intrusion from other border sectors, it seemed to have welcomed illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, especially Buddhists, he said.
