Young woman killed, 25 wedding guests injured in mishap

A young woman was killed and at least 25 others were injured when a bus, with members of a marriage party, overturned near Raina in Burdwan district tonight.

Police sources said the bus, with 100 from the bride's family, were on way to Raina for wedding reception when the bus turned turtle at Rupsona village.

While the 20-year old woman was crushed to death under the vehicle, at least 25 others were injured and taken to hospitals in Kalna and Burdwan town.

A pall of gloom descended over both houses.
