An 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour for past six months on the pretext of marrying her, police said today.
The victim, a resident of Mustafabad colony in the district, in her complaint alleged her neighbour Asif (22) of raping her since the past six months on false pretext of marriage, they said.
The victim's family also tried to persuade Asif's father for their marriage, but he refused to pay heed to them, police added.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on to nab the accused, who is absconding, they said.
