Youth held for raping three-yr-old girl

A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped in the Mundi area here, police said today.

The victim was playing outside her house with her brother yesterday when the accused, Rahul Rajput (20), an unemployed youth, took her away forcefully and allegedly raped her, they said.

The girl's parents reported the matter to the Mundi police following which the youth was taken into custody.

Preliminary medical examination of the victim established rape, police said.

The accused has been booked under relevant section of the IPC and some provisions of the SC/ST Act.
