EU and Singapore to sign trade deal on sidelines of ASEM summit - Merkel

BERLIN (Reuters) - The European Union plans to sign a free trade agreement with Singapore on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday, adding the summit should highlight the importance of multilateral cooperation.
