India's fiscal deficit reaches 94 percent of 2016/17 target in Dec

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's fiscal deficit in the first nine months to December was 5.01 trillion rupees($73.87 billion) or 93.9 percent of the budgeted target for the fiscal year ending in March 2017, government data showed on Tuesday.
The fiscal deficit was 87.9 percent of the full-year target during the same period a year ago.
Net tax receipts in the first nine months of 2016/17 fiscal year were 7.52 trillion rupees, the data showed.
