13.5% Paper Draws Rs 5 Cr

The deals that were conducted in the debt market, will be settled after one or two days. Meanwhile, on-line trading in debt commenced on the Bombay Stock Exchange yesterday. The securities have been earmarked under the "F" category. The 13.50-per cent central government security maturing in 1998 was traded for Rs 5 crore at a price of Rs 101.36. The deal, to be settled after one day, was struck at a yield of 13.43 per cent. A deal was struck in the zero-coupon security maturing in 2000 at 14.05 per cent. The transaction was conducted for Rs 3 crore at Rs 59.36 and will be settled after one day.
The 13-per cent ICICI 1999 bond was dealt for Rs 1 crore at 17.54 per cent. The trade, which is to be settled after two days, was transacted at a yield of 17.54 per cent.
