4-Member Team To Attend Maritime Talks

The session will be entirely devoted to maritime issues and will focus on matters pertaining to seafarers, according to sources in the ministry of surface transport. It concludes on October 22.

The 84th session of the ILO will be attended by representatives of governments, seafarers and shipowners.

The session will try to arrive at various minimum standards to be laid down pertaining to seafarers. These include minimum wages, manning scales and periods of rest.
