A T Kearney To Start Operations In India

A T Kearney Inc, the $ 870 million US-based global management consulting firm, will formally launch its consultancy services in India in August this year. This is part of the firms global growth strategy in 1997. It aims to set up offices in South Africa, Taiwan and Turkey this year.
A T Kearney, renowned for its strategic, operational and information technology consulting insights, is one of the worlds largest and fastest growing management consulting firms. It was ranked among the worlds top ten consulting firms in terms of revenues, ahead of Price Waterhouse (revenue of $ 840 million) and Arthur D. Little ($ 574 million).
Founded in 1926, the Chicago-based firm has around 3,600 employees (2,300 consultants) in more than 60 offices in 30 countries throughout the world.

We are in the final stages of getting a clearance from the RBI to set up A T Kearney (India) Ltd as a legal entity, said Chandra Srinivasan, managing director of the Indian operations.
A T Kearney has already recruited 15 consultants for its Indian operations and is negotiating with several Indian companies to offer its expertise in implementing change and handling complexity in a rapidly transforming business environment. Deregulation, delicensing and competition are opening up new avenues for us in India, said Srinivasan.
A T Kearneys set of tools and methodologies to manage change and complexity in new business environments, Srinivasan feels, are especially suited for the Indian environment. The challenge for us is to identify Indian companies who need our total solutions, he said.
