Large-scale production of bio-fertilisers could generate jobs in rural areas besides helping farmers, vice-chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has said. TNAU, along with other institutions, would soon launch training programmes and workshops to further educate farmers on the importance of these natural fertilisers, which were cheaper than their chemical counterparts, he added.
