Calcutta Port Back To Normal

Shipping operations at the Calcutta port and Budge Budge are back to normal after the re-positioning and laying of buoys near the wreck of MV Green Opal which capsized in Hooghly on June 19. The Calcutta port has filed a case in the high court for detention of the ship personnel until the declaration/security money is received. The port has asked the vessel owners and its insurance representatives to get the wreckage removed as early as possible and submit the necessary securities to the port trust immediately.
