Cbec Notifies Exchange Rates

The Central Board of Excise and Customs has notified the rate of exchange for calculating stamp duty under the Indian Stamp Act and computing duty relating to imported goods. The rate of exchange is Rs 39.95 for the $ and Rs 66.70 for the £. In the case of exported goods, the rates are Rs 39.56 to a $ and Rs 65.99 to a £. The rates are revised periodically.
