Dull Trading Witnessed

The Delhi Stock Exchange Index closed at 737.13 points down 1.82 on lacklustre trading in the absence of FII support, with the State Bank of India scrip being the only exception.
According to brokers, the SBI scrip was the most sought after on rumours that SBIs GDR has met with a good response and reports of a decline in the interest rates.
ACC recorded a sharp fall in share price, down from an opening rate of Rs 1872 to Rs 1849. The scrip touched a low of Rs 1835 and a high of Rs 1900.
Reliance opened at Rs 197.35 and closed at Rs 197.15, after touching a high of 200.65. SBI closed at Rs 263.50 before touching a peak of Rs 268.75.
The total volume was about Rs 106 crore, of which the SBI alone accounted for Rs 51.85 crore. Reliance accounted for Rs 21.74 crore, and Tisco saw trading worth Rs 17.12 crore.
