Equities Decline

The equities declined slightly on the Madras Stock Exchange (MSE) yesterday, however a number of scrips ruled steady and few of them improved further from their previous level. The MSE share price index fell by 15.56 points to close at 3594.97 points.
ACC dropped by Rs 30.30 to Rs 1319.85, Pentafour Soft moved by Rs 5 to Rs 141.95, Telco declined by Rs 4 to Rs 373.35, MTNL edged down by Rs 1.45 to Rs 284.30, Impal by Rs 1 to Rs 189, Ashok Leyland by Rs 1 to Rs 80, Chettinad Cement went down by Rs 1.05 to Rs 88.60, L&T slipped by Rs 1.30 to Rs 213.25, Feminor Mineral (Rs 38.85), ITC (Rs 404.95), Nepc Micon (Rs 10.40) and Orchid Chemical (Rs 124.50) were easier.
Dr Reddy improved by Rs 3.75 to Rs 214.75, KVB firmed up by Rs 3.95 to Rs 217.70, Premier Mill moved up by Rs 2 to Rs 100, State Bank of India new by Rs 1.65 to Rs 305.20, Wellwin by Rs 1.90 to Rs 53.90, Easun Reyrolle (Rs 207.35), Penta Communication (Rs 35) and UTI Master (Rs 13.10).
