The Delhi Stock Exchange index gained ground on Thursday to close the day at 709.93 points, a gain of 3.92 points over Wednesdays close of 706.01 points. The major pivotals at the bourse registered gains over the day, which witnessed a trading volume of Rs 150 crore.

Reliance, which opened the day at Rs 187.75, touched a high of Rs 195.45 before closing the day at Rs 195.25.

The State Bank of India, which witnessed a volume of Rs 71.24 crore, opened the day at Rs 207.50 and closed at Rs 210.10 after touching a low of Rs 204.50.

Tisco opened the day at Rs 170.05, touched a low of Rs 168.95 before closing the day at Rs 173.15.

 

ITC Ltd opened the day at Rs 309.55 and fell sharply to Rs 299.75, but recovered to close at Rs 306.

Trading in the JVG Departmental Stores scrip has been suspended by the DSE with effect from Tuesday.
