Fao Animal Feeding Code To Cut Disease Risk For Humans

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has prepared a good animal feeding code to minimise the chances of human beings picking up diseases by consuming contaminated meat and other animal products.
The draft code applies to manufactured feed and all other types of material fed to animals. The grazing of animals in pastures and other open fields is out of the purview of the proposed code.
The formulation of a code was necessitated by the recent outbreak of the mad cow disease
