Kelvinator Brand Transfer To Electrolux Complete

The Kelvinator brand has been completely transferred from Whirlpool India Ltd to Electrolux AB of Sweden, as per the agreement concluded between the two companies in 1995. The deal became effective from January 1. The Kelvinator brand will now be owned and marketed Delhi-based Maharaj International, in which Electrolux has 51 per cent stake.

As a part of its marketing plans, Maharaja is expected to relaunch Kelvinator shortly. It will launch a fully automatic, front-end, loaded washing machine under the Kelvinator brand name in February and it would be priced at Rs 20,000.
