Radhakrishnan, Sethia To Take Over As Sbi Mds

The two deputy managing directors of State Bank of India (SBI), O P Sethia and M P Radhakrishnan, are being tipped to take over from M G Bhide and M S Verma as the bank's managing directors.

Bhide is expected to join Bank of India as chairman & managing director while Verma is set to take over as SBI chairman in place of P G Kakodkar, who is due to retire at the end of next month.

According to top State Bank officials, the recommendations have been sent to the Union finance ministry which will take a decision on them by the end of March.

 

Once the two current SBI managing directors take up their new assignments, the deputy managing directors will take their place.

Sethia is now in charge of the subsidiaries while Radhakrishnan is the managing director of

SBI Mutual Fund. The managing director of SBI Mutual Fund has the rank of deputy managing director at the parent organisation.
