Strips Tumble

Equities in large numbers lost further ground on the stock market yesterday following nervous bull unloading coupled with short selling and closed with small to notable losses on a wide front.
With the result, the Delhi Stock Exchange tumbled down by 20.43 points to settle further lower at 695.56 points.
Foreign as well as domestic financial houses refrained from enlarging portfolios and indulged in profit selling which further dampened the trading sentiment.
Opening on a weak note, share prices fell further on nervous bull unloading and closed with losses.
Major losers in the specified section were ACC, Asian Hotels, BSES, DCM Shriram Industries, DCM Shriram Consolidated, Escorts, Finolex Industries, Hero Honda, Hindustan Lever, ICICI, Larsen & Toubro, MTNL, Ranbaxy Lab, SBI, Tisco and Telco on brisk profit selling.
