Taliban Rulers Appeal For International Aid

Acting foreign minister Mullah Mohammed Ghous told a news conference that 17 years of war had left Afghanistan facing a disaster with many people unable to feed their families.

We are hoping that all countries will take part in the reconstruction of our country. The whole administrative system and public services in afghanistan are paralysed, he said. If we don't have cooperation and assistance from foreign countries, it will be very difficult for Afghanistan to stand on its own feet.
