Uniform Sales Tax Structure For Northern States Urged

The wholesale debt market (WDM) segment of the National Stock Exchange witnessed 122 trades and a total volume of Rs 731.95 crore yesterday. Prices of government securities also showed more stability yesterday.

In the long-term segment, the 12.29 per cent 2010 security was traded for around Rs 65 crore at a weighted yield of 11.80 per cent. The security saw 13 trades in a range of Rs 102.79-102.88 during the day. The 12.40 per cent 2013 saw 13 trades for a volume of Rs 80 crore at a weighted yield of 12.09 per cent. The gilt was traded between Rs 101.95- 102, and closed at Rs 101.98.
