Calsoft sets up CoE in Bangalore

California Software Company Ltd (Calsoft) has announced the launch of its centre of excellence for data and telecom solutions in Bangalore.

Set up at a cost of $1 million, the centre would help the company meet the increasing requirements of the customers, who are mainly network equipment vendors.

The centre would also work on next generation products and services, including network management. It would focus on research and development in 3G, packet cable, wireless networks and IP-based wireline networks, said a company statement.

The 30,000 sq ft facility, with dedicated networking labs, would enable the company to service its global clients and the world's leading network equipment vendors would be using some of the products developed by the labs in Bangalore.

Calsoft till date has over 80 IP products to its credit, with a list of clients from different industries. It has also formed tie-ups with leading universities like Georgia Tech University, USA.

The centre would enable us to enhance our presence in the global market. It is expected to grow to a team of 250 specialists, according to J K Nair, executive vice-president and chief operating officer, Calsoft.
