The India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the trade body representing the Indian semiconductor industry, will focus on the "domestic market as a driver for the Indian electronics industry", at the forthcoming Vision Summit in Bangalore.
To be held on February 18 and February 19, the event will see the participation of Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh and Wipro Chairman Azim Premji.
The speakers of the meet include professionals from both design and manufacturing as also policy makers at the state and central levels. Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and economists will also share their perspectives, according to the ISA.
"This is our third consecutive global conference. The emerging Indian market is the key driver of the industry impacting both design and manufacturing. It is important for the ISA to highlight the intrinsic worth of India and we have the support of our ministries at both the state and central level to do so," ISA president Poornima Shenoy said.
This year's participation is from nearly 200 companies, with 300-plus delegates from over six nations, the ISA said.
