| Jopasana Software and Systems is planning to enter the Scandinavian market to provide embedded system solutions. |
| The company is planning to start operations from February next year and is looking at investing around $5 lakh for marketing and consulting activities in the aforesaid market. |
| On Thursday, the company announced a partnership with UK-based Vodafone to provide remote diagnostics applications to European customers in the renewable energy and environment sector. |
| "We are expecting to grow at such a level that we can self-generate the investment needed. The market for embedded systems in Scandinavia is about £ 200 million and we are expecting to earn at least £2 million within the first two years of operation. We are going to operate mainly in the area of assets and fleet management. We would also like to focus on the healthcare market. We are planning to have our own set up in Sweden. We are already in discussion with 7-8 companies from Sweden and are expecting work assignments from them in the area of embedded system," said Ajay Phatak, the managing director and chief operating officer, Jopasana Software and Systems. |
| Empasising upon the decision to enter the UK market, Phatak added, "The data market in the UK currently is only around £17 million but the industry is expecting this number to increase up to £400 million within the next five years. |
| At the same time, Vodafone is expecting to bag a share of at least £ 100 million out of it. In the second week of January, 2006, we are planning to start with the marketing campaign of our new initiative with Vodafone in the UK market." |
