Microsoft to hold TechED in 6 cities this year

| Developers, IT professionals and architects in India will soon get a chance to have a first-hand experience with Microsoft Corporation's ready-to-be-launched products and the already launched one at its exclusive annual event 'TechEd India 2006' starting on June 5 this year. |
| Vista, the next version of Microsoft windows, Office 12, the next version of Microsoft office and Origami, a new category of mobile computing devices and Xbox360 are some of Microsoft's new products that are expected to be showcased at the event. |
| Tipped to be the largest technical event of Microsoft in Asia, TechEd will be held in six Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and Bangalore. Microsoft, which added Hyderabad to its list for the event last year, is including Pune to the list this year. |
| "Being a great centre of technical learning and emerging IT destination in India, we have added Pune as a venue for the TechEd this year," Sheila Gulati, director, developer and platform evangelism, Microsoft India told Business Standard. |
| She said while the TechEd 2005 saw over 4,000 developers, server professionals and architects, "this year we expect a to see at least 7,000." |
| The event, spanning over 20 days, will be held for three days in each city starting with Delhi on June 5. The final leg of the TechEd India 2006 will be held in Bangalore for three days starting on June 22. |
