ReadyTestGo expands operations

ReadyTestGo (RTG), an offshore software testing services provider, has announced the expansion of its offshore operations in India by setting up its second software testing facility in Chennai. The company plans to hire 150 software engineers over the next 12 months in Chennai.

At present, RTG, part of Cybernet Software Systems group, has a global testing facility in Chennai and Satellite labs in San Jose and Singapore, a company release said.

The current infrastructure expansion in Chennai comes in the wake of a spate of significant new outsourcing software testing engagements the company had recently signed with global corporations, based in Europe and the US. It acquired 20 new clients last year and are targeting to add a similar number this year, according to Sridhar Kulasekharan, chief operating officer, RTG.

The company's clientele includes both enterprises and software vendors and its service offering includes the entire range of software testing services performance engineering, functional testing, compatibility testing, security testing, installation testing (hardware & software), architecture benchmarking and test automation. RTG has expertise across all industry standard testing tools (vendor neutrality)

Kulasekharan said, "With the trend of large software developers increasingly looking at specialist third party software testing companies to enhance the credibility of their offering to their end customers, and to demonstrate third party validation of their SLAs, the $300 million Indian software testing market is expected to register a healthy growth rate."

The global software testing market is estimated to be $13 billion. In India, there is said to be a demand for around 20,000 software testing professionals every year, the statement said.
