Siemens terms Sterlite Opt as preferred supplier

Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd (SOTL) has been awarded preferred supplier status by industrial electronic and telecommunication giant Siemens, Germany.

"The preferred supplier status by one of the world's foremost telecommunication companies should act as a fillip to Sterlite Optical's growing export markets. In the last few years, Sterlite has made impressive gains in international markets like China, Europe and the Middle East and is attempting to gain a foothold in other emerging markets. The company recently announced that it has received an order of over Rs 32.2 million from Sri Lanka Telecom for fiber optic cables," said Anand Agarwal,chief executive officer,Sterlite Optical.

Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd is one of the leading developers and manufacturers of optical fibers and fiber optic cables in the world.
