US-based human capital management software provider SilkRoad Technologies Inc is scouting for joint venture (JV) partners in India to tap into the country’s job market.
SilkRoad founder and chief executive officer, Andrew ‘Flip’ Filipowski, who has been camping in India for the past 40 days, said the JV partner would be finalised “very soon.”
“We are looking for someone who is already connected to this business,” he said adding that he had so far held discussions with half-a-dozen organisations in this regard.
SilkRoad, which provides software that helps companies attract and retain top workers, had entered into a tie-up with Hyderabad-based C&K (content and knowledge) Management Limited last year.
Filipowski, who had toured China and India recently, told mediapersons on Monday that his company wanted to invest in India first as “its skills are strongly English and India is close to the company’s skill sets.” Besides, according to his assessment, opportunities in India were going to unfold faster than in China.
According to C&K managing director Ravi Ramakrishnan, HR professionals are turning to technology to deliver quick and effective solutions for their business problems. “Reduced costs, assured quality and increased training efficiencies brought by technology tools like the ones from SilkRoad will drive this trend further,” he stated.
