The country's fourth-largest telecom operator, Tata Teleservices (TTSL), today said it has crossed the 80 million subscribers mark with the addition of 2.14 million new subscribers in September this year.
TTSL added 2.14 million new wireless and wireline subscribers in the month of September to take its client base to 80,306,495 users, TTSL said in a statement.
"We thank and value every subscriber's faith in us as a transparent, caring and competent telecom services company," Tata Teleservices Managing Director Anil Sardana said.
Tata Teleservices is the country's fourth largest operator in terms of wireless subscribers, after Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications and Vodafone.
Both TTSL and TTSL (Maharashtra) offer dual technology (GSM and CDMA) mobile services across the nation.

After its collaboration with Japan's NTT DoCoMo in November, 2008, TTSL launched GSM services under the 'TATA DoCoMo' brand in all 18 telecom circles where it received spectrum from the government.
TTSL has also announced that it will launch next generation mobile services (3G) across all nine circles where it has received 3G spectrum on Diwali next month.
"With the countdown on 3G services having begun, TTSL's 3G-compliant infrastructure, with an assured migration path to 4G and an in-built security system, will enable Tata DoCoMo to reap the benefits of its network capabilities," TTSL Executive President (Mobility Business) Deepak Gulati said.
