Three A'bad firms in Nasscom Innovators list

Three companies from Gujarat ""all from Ahmedabad "" have made it to the Nasscom's 100 IT innovators list released.

Ahmedabad and Sunnyvale-based chip and product design services company, eInfochips Ltd, Avani Simcon Technologies Ltd, and vMukti Solutions Pvt Ltd made it to the 'Top 100 IT Innovators of 2007'. The company earned the rank in the list for its IPNetCam, an advanced IP leveraged surveillance camera reference design.

The 100 IT Innovators list by Nasscom showcases innovative companies that have made innovation a part of their growth strategies. The list features companies who have managed to carve a niche using breakthrough technological products and novel market initiatives.

IPNetCam is an IP surveillance camera reference design that offers ready-to-go solution for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to build a range of intelligent IP surveillance cameras quickly and with low development costs for homeland security, retail, banking, critical infrastructure and transportation, said Pratul Shroff, chief executive officer, eInfochips Ltd.

Based on Texas Instruments' DaVinci technology and Object Video OnBoard analytics, IPNetCam is claimed to detect an object and send e-mail alerts to the server on its own.

eInfochips, which provides silicon design and verification services, embedded systems solutions and IP cores, has over 650 engineers for its development centres in Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Pune.

The company had seen several camera manufacturers from North America, UK, Japan and Taiwan approaching it for IPNetCam.
