IHG Hotels & Resorts on Monday said it has signed a management agreement with Discover Resorts Neral Pvt. Ltd. for a 200-key voco in Karjat, Maharashtra.
The property will convert to IHG's premium brand by early 2028, the global hospitality company said in a statement.
"voco is well suited to a destination like Karjat, where travellers are looking for a premium experience that feels distinctive, relaxed, and connected to the character of the place." said Sudeep Jain, IHG Hotels & Resorts Managing Director, South West Asia.
IHG currently has 53 open hotels operating across seven brands in India and a strong pipeline of 110 hotels due to open in the next 3-5 years.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in India and Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on Monday announced a new phase of their partnership to strengthen an inclusive circular economy for plastics, with a target to support 50,000 Safai Mitras and waste management systems across 50 cities by 2028.
Building on seven years of collaboration, the partnership will focus on four areas -- social inclusion, strengthening urban waste management systems, improving recycling efficiency, and knowledge transfer, a joint statement said.
Under the social inclusion component, the programme will work towards formalising and improving livelihoods of 50,000 Safai Mitras, with a particular focus on women, it said.
It will also support 50 cities and urban local bodies (ULBs) in developing efficient, decentralised and resilient end-to-end waste management systems, besides improving segregation at source and strengthening recovery and recycling practices across value chains, it said.

The Indian Auto LPG Coalition (IAC) on Friday urged the government to include Auto LPG-powered commercial vehicles in a proposed five-year extension of the age limit for certain vehicles operating under the national permit system.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has proposed extending the prescribed vehicle age limit by five years for battery-operated, hydrogen fuel-based and natural gas-driven commercial vehicles covered by the national permit regime.
Welcoming the proposal, the IAC said Auto LPG vehicles that meet prescribed safety, fitness and emission standards should also qualify for the extension, arguing that cleaner-mobility policy should remain technology-neutral.
"The proposed five-year extension for EVs, hydrogen and natural gas vehicles is a welcome step, but cleaner mobility policy cannot be technology-selective. Auto LPG must also be included. It is a proven, readily available and cost-effective transport fuel that can reduce vehicular emissions ...

Public sector lender Indian Bank expects its gold loan book to cross Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the current financial year, supported by robust demand for the product.
"Gold loan is safe lending for banks...it is not a consumption loan, but mostly it is income-generating and also helps small businesses to grow. Last year, we saw very significant growth of 30 per cent in the segment due to a jump in gold prices. It will be slower this year as there is a 30 per cent decline in gold prices," Indian Bank MD and CEO Binod Kumar told PTI in an interaction.
This growth would come from tonnage, he said, adding that the gold loan segment is likely to grow about 20 per cent.
Currently, the gold loan portfolio is around Rs 1.25 lakh crore, and the book should exceed Rs 1.5 lakh crore during this financial year at the anticipated growth rate, he said.
Kumar further said that RAM (Retail, Agriculture, and MSME) constitutes 65 per cent of the overall loan book while the remaining 35 per cent is from .
