Home-grown auto major Tata Motors Wednesday launched its most-awaited premium mid-size sports utility vehicle (SUV) in diesel, Tata Harrier in the domestic market at starting price of Rs 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Pakistan signs $3 bn bailout package with UAE

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have signed a USD 3 billion bailout package to support the cash-strapped country even as its Prime Minister Imran Khan sought financial assistance from Qatar, media reports said.According to the bailout agreement, signed in a ceremony in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, the UAE will deposit USD 3 billion in the State Bank of Pakistan to support the country's financial and monetary policy, Geo News reported.The amount will be paid to Pakistan in three installments."UAE has formalized $3 billion deposit in the State Bank of Pakistan. CBDT using data analytics to identify people not filing tax returns

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) is identifying people through a non-filers monitoring system by using data analytics and has asked them to assess their tax liability for the assessment year 2018-19, file income tax returns or submit an online response within 21 days.The non-filers monitoring system aims to identify and monitor persons who enter into high-value transactions and have potential tax liabilities but have still not filed their tax returns. An analysis was carried out to identify non-filers about whom specific information was available in the database of the Income Tax Department.The sources of information include statements of financial transactions, tax deduction at source, tax collection at source, information about foreign remittances, exports and imports data.A government statement said data analysis has identified several potential non-filers who carried out high-value transactions in the financial year 2017-18 but have still not filed income tax returns for ..

Carlos Ghosn likely to resign as Renault chairman

Sacked Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn is likely to step down from his position as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and chairman of Renault, NHK sources said on Wednesday.Ghosn has been in detention in Tokyo for two months on charges of financial misconduct.
