Delhi University has received over 1.9 lakh applications for undergraduate admissions in the 2026-27 academic session, with more than 1.64 lakh candidates completing preference filling as well, officials said on Friday. According to the university, 1,90,645 candidates have registered themselves for the UG admission process through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). University officials added that 1,64,098 candidates have completed Phase II of the admission process, which involves filling programme and college preferences. The deadline for completing the process is 11.59 pm on Saturday, July 11. The university has also opened a one-time correction window from 10 am on Friday, allowing applicants to rectify mistakes in the details already submitted on the CSAS portal. Delhi University gets 142,700 UG registrations for 2026-27 admissions

Delhi University has received more than 1.42 lakh registrations for undergraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session, with over 43,500 aspirants submitting their programme and college preferences under the second phase of the admission process, officials said on Saturday. Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi said that 1,42,733 candidates had registered under Phase I of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), with 43,547 applicants filling in their programme and college preferences under Phase II. The second phase of the undergraduate admission process began on July 3 and will remain open till 11.59 pm on July 11. DU UG admission portal likely to open this week, session from July 21

Delhi University is likely to open its undergraduate admission portal for the academic session 2026-27 by the end of this week and is aiming to begin the new academic session from July 21, university officials said on Wednesday, a day after the declaration of the CUET-UG 2026 results. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) serves as the single-window entrance examination for admission to undergraduate programmes in most central universities, including Delhi University. DU Registrar Vikas Gupta told PTI that the university is in the final stages of preparing to open the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. "We want to start the academic session tentatively on July 21," Gupta said. "We are just doing a final checking of the portal and the required details. DU announces first seat allotment result for over 71,000 UG seats

The Delhi University on Saturday released the first seat allocation list for undergraduate admissions for the academic session 2025-26, kickstarting the final phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The list, published at 5 pm, by the university includes allocations for 71,624 seats across 79 undergraduate programmes offered by 69 colleges. The candidates, who have been allotted seats, are required to "accept" the seat by 4:59 pm on July 21. The colleges will verify and approve the applications by July 22 and the last date for payment of admission fees under this round is July 23. The university has announced that the second CSAS allocation list would be released at 5 pm on July 28. The academic session for first-year undergraduate students is scheduled to commence on August 1.

The Delhi University on Friday released the schedule for the third phase of admissions to undergraduate courses for the 2024-25 session through performance-based programmes. Admissions in this phase will be offered through performance-based programmes and supernumerary quotas, including those for children/widows of armed forces personnel, extra-curricular activities, and sports. The university will also open an upgrade window for students from the previous two admission phases at 5 pm on August 31. The window will close at 4:59 pm on September 1. DU 2024-25 UG admissions: 1st list released, over 97,300 allocations made

The Delhi University has released the first allocation list for the undergraduate admissions 2024-25, with 97,387 candidates offered programmes and college combinations in the 'round one' of Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS). For admissions to 71,600 sanctioned seats, the university considered 5,68,20,017 unique cutoffs and ranks for the allocations in this round, according to an official statement. The Delhi University received 1,72,18,187 number of preferences/choices submitted by the students seeking admissions to various UG programmes in different colleges. In the first round, the number of girls who have been allotted a seat for admission in DU is 52,838 while 44,549 boys have been given seats in the admission process. DU admissions: Over 19,000 applications for 12,000 seats in 2nd spot round

Over 19,000 candidates have applied for around 12,000 seats in Delhi University colleges in the second spot allocation round for undergraduate admissions, an official said on Thursday. Since the university began the admission process for the academic year 2022-23 in September, 62,331 students have been admitted to undergraduate courses. The university had issued a list of vacant seats for the second spot round of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) on Monday, and the candidates were given time till Wednesday to apply. "We have received 19,150 applications for the second spot round of admission. There are 12,000 vacant seats in UG programmes," Delhi University's Dean of Admission Haneet Gandhi told PTI. As many as 4,118 students were admitted across DU colleges in the first round of spot allocation. DU to begin second round of spot admission on Mon; allocation list on Dec 2

Delhi University (DU) will begin its second round of spot admissions after bringing out a list of vacant seats on Monday. The candidates will be given a two-day window -- Tuesday and Wednesday -- to apply, the varsity said on Saturday. The allocation list will be released on December 2 and the candidates will then be given a couple of days to accept the seats. They will have to pay fees by December 6. "To be considered for spot round II, the candidates will have to opt for 'Spot Admission-II' through his/her dashboard," the varsity said in a statement. Simultaneously, DU will also open a window for CW (under armed forces) and Kashmiri migrant candidates, selected under the supernumerary quota, to upgrade to their preferred course.
