Shooting of "Student of the Year 2" has begun in Dehradun. The director, Punit Malhotra, along with the male lead, Tiger Shroff, have started the principal photography of the film, which is a sequel to the 2012 film, directed by Karan Johar. Johar's Dharma Productions is backing the movie. The official Twitter account of the production banner today shared a picture from the sets of the film in the Uttarakhand capital. "STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2 - DAY #1 on set. Today, director @punitdmalhotra and his team begin their journey at Saint Teresa's with @iTIGERSHROFF & the girls," the post read. The female leads of the film are yet to be revealed. Johar also took to the microblogging site to announce that the details of the final cast will be disclosed on Wednesday. It's a fearless series that tackles provocative social issues with laughter and grace, and a large, loyal audience has followed. "With gifted talents like Anna and Allison leading a great ensemble cast, and a production team headed by Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky, Nick Bakay and Gemma Baker, this series just keeps getting better," Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment, said. The actor died due to congestive heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center here, his publicist Edward Lozzi told The Hollywood Reporter. Born in New York City on September 2, 1934, McCann belonged to a family of performers - his grandfather was a part of Wild West Show in Buffalo Bill and his father, Val McCann, was a known band leader who served as the music arranger at New York's Roxy Theatre. McCann was also a puppeteer, nightclub comic, movie actor, voiceover performer and celebrity impersonator.
