Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has been charged with a misdemeanor count of forcibly touching a woman at a bar in Manhattan, the New York Police Department said on Thursday.However, the actor was released without bail and will return to court on June 26, reported Variety.The actor allegedly touched a woman's breast on Sunday at the bar.Refuting the allegation, Gooding's attorney, Mark Heller said the video of the incident will absolve his client.Heller who had seen the video, said, "Did not see one scintilla of criminal culpability on the part of Cuba Gooding.""There's a tape that shows what really happened," Variety quoted Gooding as saying.Gooding shot to fame with the film 'Boyz N the Hood' and won an Oscar for best-supporting actor in 'Jerry Maguire'.

Hilary Duff's 7-month-old daughter spent the night in the hospital recently because of a bug bite. The little one is doing well now."She's fine. Spice Girls to reunite for animation film on band
Paramount Animation is working on a "Spice Girls" movie with the band set to reunite for the project. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the animation film about the English girl pop group will see the involvement of all the five members, Melanie Brown (Scary), Emma Bunton (Baby), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty), Geri Halliwell (Ginger) and Victoria Beckham (Posh). The 90's group is the best-selling girl group of all time with over 85 million albums sold. Paramount Animation President Mireille Soria has revealed that the feature will include Spice Girls classics as well as new songs. "The Spice Girls had an idea that we've been developing. They are very involved," she added. The project will be produced by Simon Fuller and written by Karen McCullah and Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith. The band's last film "Spice World" (1997) saw the members playing themselves and serves as a cult classic since its release. The new animated feature is scheduled for a 2020 release. Bryan Singer to pay USD 150,000 to resolve rape accusation
Filmmaker Bryan Singer is set to pay USD 150,000 to settle allegations that he raped a 17-year-old boy in 2003. Cesar Sanchez-Guzman said in a lawsuit filed in December 2017 that Singer sexually assaulted him during a 2003 Seattle yacht party, when Sanchez-Guzman was 17. According to the Wrap, Sanchez-Guzman had filed for bankruptcy in 2014, and the case was discharged. The bankruptcy trustee reopened the case in 2018, on the grounds that Sanchez-Guzman's claim against Singer had not been listed among his assets, and that any proceeds should be available to his creditors. In the filing, the bankruptcy trustee recommended that the court approve a USD 150,000 settlement with Singer. In a statement, Singer's attorney Andrew Brettler said that the director maintains his innocence. Actor Vanessa Hudgens is set to lead the reading of "The Notebook" musical along with Tony-nominee Hailey Kilgore. The "High School Musical" will lead the first reading of the season on June 23 at Vassar and New York Stage & Film's annual summer play development incubator known as the Powerhouse season. Actor Daniel Radcliffe is set to star in Netflix's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" interactive special. The film is scheduled to debut in 2020. The special will see Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) set off on her biggest adventure, reported Variety. Viewers will get to decide the outcome of the story similar to "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch". Along with Radcliffe and Kemper, Jon Hamm, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski and Carol Kane will appear in movie. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" series ended its run in 2019 with the second half of the fourth season. By the end of the show Kemper's Kimmy Schmidt had found fame and success with a book, Krakowski's Jacqueline became a successful Hollywood agent, Burgess' Titus became a true star after his Broadway debut and Kane's Lillian found a new purpose as the "voice of New York". Idris Elba to star in Quibi car-stunt series
Hollywood star Idris Elba is set to headline a car-stunt series for upcoming digital platform Quibi. According to Variety, the British actor will feature in the limited series along side professional rally driver Ken Block. Titled "Elba vs Block", the eight-episode show will pit the two against each other to see who can outperform the other in London's Docklands in a series of stunts with names like "Wall of Death," "Car Tightrope" and "Flaming Obstacle Course". Elba's Green Door Pictures is also producing along with Workerbee, part of Endemol Shine UK. "Ken is my driving hero. I've never worked with a driver as skilled as him, so I'm a little intimidated by his talent. I love challenges, I love speed and I'm a 'wheel man,' so let's see how this plays out," said Elba. Quibi, scheduled for a spring 2020 launch, has scripted and unscripted projects in the works from Steven Spielberg, Lena Waithe, Jennifer Lopez, Guillermo del Toro, Sam Raimi and Don Cheadle, among others.

Actors Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty have been roped in to star along side John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi in gangster drama "Mumbai Saga". The film, to be directed by Sanjay Gupta, also features Amol Gupte, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover and Rohit Roy. Gupta, who is known for his films like "Kaante", "Musafir", "Shootout at Lokhandwala" and "Kaabil", said his upcoming directorial is his most ambitious project till date. "'25 years, 17 films later I had to give my audience something bigger and better. 'Mumbai Saga' is by far my most ambitious film which needed a visionary producer. And I am grateful to Bhushan Kumar for putting his faith and might in it. It is one such story that needs to be said on screen," Gupta said in a statement.
