Gurugram police foil plot to attack singer Rahul Fazilpuria, five held

A joint team of Gurugram Police and STF has foiled a plot to attack Haryanvi singer-rapper Rahul Fazilpuria, who survived a bid on his life on July 14, by arresting five sharpshooters after a brief encounter, officials said on Wednesday. The incident took place around midnight on Tuesday on Pataudi road when four of the sharpshooters sustained gunshot wounds in the encounter, police said. A spokesperson for Gurugram Police said initial investigation revealed that the five sharpshooters linked to gangsters Rohit Sardhaniya and Deepak Nandal were plotting to kill Fazilpuria. They were also reportedly involved in the killing of Fazilpuria's financier Rohit Shokeen last month. The accused have been identified as Vinod Pehalwan, a resident of Jhajjar, Padam alias Raja, Shubham alias Kala, Gautam alias Gogi, and Ashish alias Ashu, all from Sonipat. Landmark Group to invest ₹400 crore in new Gurugram housing project

Realty firm Landmark Group will invest Rs 400 crore in the construction of its new housing project in Gurugram. The company is developing 240 apartments in its new residential project, spread over 4 acre of land parcel, at Sector 103 (Dwarka Expressway) in Gurugram. "We will invest Rs 400 crore on construction of our new project 'Landmark SKYVUE'," Landmark Group Chairman Sandeep Chillar told reporters here. He said the company has owned this land parcel since 2009, and all approval charges have been paid to the government. Chillar said the company would fund the construction cost with the help of internal accruals, bank loans and advances from customers against sales. Landmark Group will sell apartments in a price range of Rs 5-7 crore per unit. The launch price is Rs 17,500 per sq ft. Multiple gunshots fired outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav's Gurugram home

Three bike-borne attackers sprayed over two dozen rounds outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav's residence in Sector 57 of Gurugram early Sunday morning, police said. Yadav was not at home when the incident happened around 5.30 am. However, some family members were inside but no one was injured in the attack, they said. After getting information, a police team reached the spot and collected forensic evidence, and are scanning CCTV footage from the area. A senior police officer said that an FIR will be registered soon as per the complaint of the family. The attackers shot more than two dozen rounds at the YouTuber's home in Sector 57 and fled away from the spot. The bullets struck the ground and first floors of the house, the police said. According to a family member, Elvish had not received any threats prior to the incident and he is currently outside Haryana. A probe is underway, the police said.

Signature Global to launch homes worth ₹6k cr in Gurugram: Chairman

Realty firm Signature Global plans to launch homes worth Rs 6,000 crore for sale in Gurugram in the current quarter to cater to the demand from end-users and investors. Signature Global was the fifth-largest listed real estate firm in 2024-25, in terms of sales bookings, falling behind Godrej Properties, DLF, Lodha Group and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. The company had clocked record pre-sales of Rs 10,290 crore last fiscal. In an interview with PTI, Signature Global Chairman Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal said the company launched one housing project in Gurugram during the June quarter with total revenue potential of around Rs 3,500 crore. "We are planning to launch 3.5-4 million square feet in the current quarter. The total sales potential would be around Rs 6,000 crore," he said. Over ₹238 cr released for NCR under EPC funds for clean-air plans: RTI

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has released more than Rs 238 crore to nine urban local bodies (ULBs) in the NCR as part of its efforts to support city-level air pollution control under the Environment Protection Charge (EPC) funds, an RTI reply has revealed. The funds were disbursed to ULBs in Gurugram, Jind, Narnaul, Nuh, Palwal, Greater Noida, Hapur, Bharatpur and Bhiwadi through the respective state pollution control boards (SPCBs), according to the reply provided by the CPCB's air quality management division to an application filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act on June 17. Additionally, the release of Rs 18.56 crore for seven other cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) -- Bahadurgarh, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Daruhera, Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat -- is currently under process through the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), the reply said. Real estate company BPTP Group will invest Rs 3000 crore to develop a premium housing project in Gurugram as part of its expansion plan.
