Hiring activity in e-recruitment space dips by 2% in January: Report

Hiring activity in the e-recruitment white-collar space in January witnessed 2 per cent year-on-year decline mainly due to slowdown in sectors including IT, telecom, manufacturing and healthcare, a report said on Wednesday. E-recruitment refers to the process of employing talents using various online sources. Demand for jobs in production and manufacturing declined by 8 per cent as did in healthcare (7 per cent), IT hardware and software (7 per cent), telecom (5 per cent) and banking, financial services and insurance (3 per cent), according to Foundit (formerly Monster) Insights Tracker (fit) for January 2023 . While IT faces a lull due to global macro conditions and course correction from last year's hiring surge, production hiring was impacted due to cost pressures and a rise in input prices. BFSI (banking, financial, services and insurance) sector, which had continuously witnessed positive hiring numbers, has noted a marginal dip of 1 per cent annually, the report stated. The .

Integrative Medicine Centres will start at govt medical sites: Mandaviya

The Centre has decided to open Integrative Medicine Centres at all government medical establishments in the country especially at AIIMS, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Tuesday. Opening such centres will help in harmonising the Indian and modern systems of medicine and providing joint multidisciplinary care to patients, Mandaviya said. The health minister and Union Minister of Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday jointly inaugurated an Integrative Medicine Centre at the Department of Integrative Medicine of All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) at Safdarjung Hospital here. Integrative medicine is aimed at harnessing the potential of India's rich heritage and medical knowledge, along with using modern advancements in allopathy, Mandaviya said. Medicine sale by dealers to retailers hit Rs 1.40 trn in Apr-Dec: Mandaviya

The total sale of medicines by stockists/dealers to retailers in India stood at over Rs 1.40 lakh crore during the April-December period, Rajya Sabha was informed on Tuesday. In a written reply to a query, Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers Mansukh Mandaviya laid a statement on the table of the Upper House stating no separate data is, however, maintained regarding consumption of generic medicines in the country. During the April-December 2022 period, the total sales of medicines by stockists or dealers to retailers was at Rs 1,40,865.31 crore. In 2021-2022, it was at Rs 1,69,234.82 crore while the same stood at Rs 1,47,586.41 crore in 2020-2021, as per the statement. Procter & Gamble's net profit dips by 2% to Rs 207 cr in December quarter

Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care on Monday said its net profit declined 2 per cent to Rs 207 crore for the October-December quarter on account of commodity cost inflation. The company, which follows the July-June financial year, had posted a net profit of Rs 212 crore in the same period of last fiscal. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 1,137 crore in the period under review as against Rs 1,092 crore in the year-ago period, Procter & Gamble said in a statement. "Despite external headwinds and macro-economic environment, we delivered a resilient performance as this quarter recorded sequential progress across topline and bottom line," Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Managing Director LV Vaidyanathan said.
