South Korea First Lady Kim Jung-sook arrived in the state capital on Monday evening on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh. She was received at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at Amausi by senior state government officials.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Monday said the memorial of Babasaheb Ambedkar in Dadar's Indu Mill premises will be completed by 2020. He added that, post 2020, followers of the Dalit icon, who come to Chaityabhoomi here for Mahaparinirvan Divas on December 6, will not have to stand in queue as permanent facilities will be built for them as part of the memorial. "A sum of Rs 100 crore have been sanctioned for Nagpur's Diksha Bhoomi, out of which a fund of Rs 40 crore has already been given. The Government of India through Ministry of Youth and Sports, on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in sports with the Republic of Korea.Union Sports Minister Rajyawardhan Rathore and Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Jong-hwan inked the pact on latter's visit to India.The MoU covers a range of areas including elite sports, sports science and anti-doping. The objective of this MoU is to establish a framework to facilitate and promote cooperation in sports between the two countries.The cooperation under this MOU includes the exchange of coaches, athletes, experts, scientific and methodical materials; joint training for athletes and officials; participation in sports events, seminars, symposia and other areas that may be jointly decided upon by the sides.The sides will encourage exchanges and cooperative actions between sports authorities, sports federations and other sports bodies in the following areas of cooperation.
